Fastest 150 runs in the history of One Day Internationals
England vs Pakistan test series went as brilliant as anyone could have imagined. With the visiting side winning both the opening and last match the series ended in a perfect draw. Though it can be considered as real triumph for Pakistan as they managed to hold England at their home grounds but to be honest o team deserved to lose after such brilliant show of performance. Now with ODI series scheduled to start from this week, fans are hoping for the similar show of sports as they witnessed in Test series. Undoubtedly England team is the best side when it comes to shorter formats and on the other hand Pakistan is struggling to make into the top 10. So imagining that Pakistan would win the series is nothing but a lie however all fans want is a good competitive series.
With a few days remaining in ODI battle Pakistan is currently playing a short two games ODI series against Ireland. The first match which was played on 18th of August was won by the visitors with one of the biggest margins in their history. Pakistan scored a mammoth 338 runs batting first with Sharjeel Khan hitting the third fastest 150 runs in ODI history. The opening batsman for Pakistan is well familiar for his hard hitting however was out of the squad for a long time. Sharjeel Khan recently played a series against England A side making some good runs in the event. Thus his comeback into the national side was quite easy for the selectors. Proving his selection right the player went on to score the 4th fastest ODI hundred by a Pakistan player as well as the third fastest 159 runs overall.
Speaking of the fastest 150 runs, AB de Villiers holds the record of hitting fastest 150 runs in cricket history. The player did it in just 64 balls against West Indies in the same inning h made the fastest ODI ton as well.
