The case relates to Neymar’s transfer from Santos to Barça in 2013. Proceedings finally ended after the judge dismissed a claim made by DIS. They were claiming 40 per cent of all the fees that Barça paid to Santos for the Brazilian forward.

This is the message in full from Neymar Sr: “By now we all know already that the process that this “investment group” filed against my family and business in Spain. I don’t celebrate victory because I don’t think it’s a victory.”

“During all these years we have been managing the career and image of my son. Among many successes, I acknowledge having made a mistake getting involved and giving the economic rights of my son to that “investment group” who have hurt both my home and business.

“They attacked my family in all the greedy ways without any scruples. They took my son to the National Court in Spain, one of the saddest days of my life, sued the mother of my children, accused us of corruption and tried by all means to tarnish the image of our companies.

“It scares me to know that they’re still in football ‘commercially’. I always believe in the righteousness of God.

“I’m glad that justice has been done today but, again, I have nothing to celebrate. Let’s work.”

The Neymars were accused of decorating the true figure of his 57million euros. The same money for the switch from Santos to Barcelona. It was as part of the scam involving investors DIS who own 40 per cent of Neymar’s rights. All three parties including the new Barcelona president denied all allegations of wrong doings.
