World War I was one of the bloodiest global wars in the history of man-kind. It began in the summer of 1914 and lasted until November 1918. It involved all of the world’s giant powers, assembled in two opposing alliances: the Allies and the Central Powers. More than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans, had mobilized. More than 9 million combatants were the victims, largely because of great technological advances in firepower without advances in mobility. Victory of Britain, France and Russia over Germany, Italy, Austria and Hungary was the result. The League of Nations came in existence after the First World War. But it failed to ensure world peace and eventually World War II happened.

In a state of “total war,” the main participants placed their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities at the service of the war effort. Second World War erased the distinction between civilian and military resources. Marked by significant events involving the mass death of civilians, it included the Holocaust and the only use of nuclear weapons in warfare. It was the deadliest conflict in human history, resulting in 50 million to over 70 million fatalities.
Everybody should have one simple right the right to live. But sometimes people will deny innocent people these rights and murder them(genocides, ruthless dictators, civil wars, mass executions etc). Human life is precious, and we must stop practicing wars.
