The measure also exonerates current president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The former president Sandro Rosell has also been out of blame.

Initially the state prosecutors had given two sentences. One is of two years, three months. And also seven years, seven months. They are meant for their alleged tax evasion.

Barcelona are anticipated to announce the agreement on Monday.

The court has been looking into a complaint. It was done by a Brazilian investment group. It claims it was financially harmed. It was when Barcelona and Neymar withheld the real amount of the player’s transfer fee from Santos back in 2013.

The transfer deal has been the subject of many court investigations in both Brazil and Spain. Full details of the deal still remain unclear.

Investment group DIS was entitled to 40 percent of Neymar’s transfer. But claims it received a smaller compensation. A part of the transfer fee was concealed.
