Of all the jobs in the world, making another person laugh is probably among the toughest and so a comedian’s job is really tough and demanding. Comedians not only have to keep up with the current word and the happenings to poke some fun at it while making sure they don’t hurt the sentiments of people. 10. Cameron Esposito

At number 10 in Top 10 Lesser Known Comedians is Cameron Esposito. She is one of the few stand-up artists who focuses on LGBTQ topics and talks about her lesbian side. While on stage she is best known for the way she digs on straight guys she encounters who make a move on her while apart from that her material is as random as it gets.  She has her fair share of time before camera as he has starred on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Conan and Last Call with Carson Daly. She was also named 2014 Comedian of the Year by Entertainment Website Consequence of Sound.

9. Jon Gabrus

At number 9 is Jon Gabrus. He is MTV2’s breakout star who is famous for his show Guy Code. His cool nature, charm and physique resembling that of a beer have all made him a lovable comic relief over the years and that fact that he isn’t inhibited to shed his clothes has also made him popular among the Gay Community. Apart from his standup and TV appearance, he is famous for his podcasts Comedy Bang! Bang! And TVLand’s Younger. He began performing at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in 2005 and is still doing it. He has also been part of other TV Shows over the years namely The Substitute, Money from Strangers, Guy Court, Hair Jacked and Santas in the Barn.

8. Alex Edelman

Doing Stand-up ever since he was 15, he is one of the most underrated stand-ups out there; Alex is an American stand-up artist based in New York whose show “Millennial” won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer at 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In same festival in 2015, his show “Everything Handed To You” was the second most well reviewed show. He has also starred in UK shows like The John Bishop Show and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.

7. Colton Dunn

At number 7 in Top 10 Lesser Known Comedians is Colton Dunn. Though he might not be famous for his comic acts and stand-ups he is definitely one of the best comic writers in the business. He was the writer for Comedy Central’s ever popular sketch series Key and Peele where he was also an occasional performer. Before Key and Peele he was also a writer and performer on madTV and starred in many shows like Parks and Recreation, Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, Game Shop, Burning Love, Superstore and also hosted a comedy variety show called “RT-ES”.

While to most people he might be an unknown face, those who watch sketches on YouTube are familiar with him because of his association with the very funny College Humor channel. His skit “Adam Ruins Everything” is really popular among the netizens. This skit series has found its way to TV on truTV and Adam is in it.

Known for once being a panelist on Chelsea Lately on E! network and for being the head writer and sketch performer for X-Play on G4 network, he is one hell of a comic talent and is known for his no-holds barred comedy. He was the writer of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and a recurring performer in its segment “No more Mr. Nice Gay” where he let loose and talked about everything from homophobia in pop culture, took on NFL and even roasted James Franco.

3. Kate Berlant

At number 3 is Kate Berlant. She is one of the most underrated comics right now and she is known for her standup and sketches. She is not your average everyday comic as her sketches are often unreal and her standup absurd but still the manage to have sufficient punch. Famous for appearing on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumall and starring in an episode of Netflix’s The Characters. She makes videos for L.A. Museum of Contemporary Art and tours with Nick Thune and Ben Kronberg on their “Very Tour, Much Comedy!”Making people laugh all around USA.

2. Kevin Barnett

Though people might not known him now, he is sure to be a worldwide star in the days to come and even he knows this, which is why he jokes about it in his acts saying that if he died now then his obituary will be filled with comments about his promise as a stand-up. Apart from stand-ups he also co-creator/writer/cast of the TruTV’s series Friends Of The People and he also starts regularly in MTV’s hit show Guy Code.
