Former Barcelona and Brazil striker Ronaldo thinks Barcelona star Neymar will remain at his club long.

Wagner Ribeiro, Neymar’s agent, had suggested a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer could suit the Barca star. Provided the French champions amount to the buyout clause in his contract, of course.

Neymar has enjoyed a successful campaign at Camp Nou this year. He is an integral piece to the MSN trio. He also excels playing alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Brazil legend Ronaldo believes that he is in the precise environment to continue his development.

“He will stay at Barca,” the two-time World Cup winner said.

“I don’t think that Neymar will leave. He is well suited to the city and the team. I don’t believe in the realization of this transfer.”

The former Santos forward has scored a staggering 54 La Liga goals in 91 appearances. He had joined Barcelona in 2013.

Next season Paris Saint-Germain may invest €300 million to spend on recruiting new players. This summer, superstars Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo are their main targets.

PSG hierarchy is now really planning ahead for the capture of either Neymar or Ronaldo.

According to L’Equipe, money simply isn’t an issue of concern for Les Parisiens. Neymar’s €193m release clause is not very likely to intimidate them.

Should they choose to activate it, PSG would be offering the Brazilian captain opportunities. He will be able to shine outside the shadow of Messi. And also, the inconsiderate wages of €25m a year is no less tempting.
