For weeks and months, Cristiano Ronaldo’s super-agent Jorge Mendes keeps repeating his words about the Portuguese’s future-‘Cristiano Ronaldo will retire at Real Madrid’. The fame of the Real Madrid striker keeps him the potential target for some of the best clubs in the world. The agent was on Sunday in Dubai to collect the ‘Globe Soccer’ award for the best representative of the world in 2015. So he took the presence of the media to re-address the issue of the future of the most important Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
“There is much speculation, but you’re talking about something you already know, so every day there is a new story,” he explained in words to the British ‘Sky Sports’. He added to clarify the matter that “surely he will play 4, 5, 6 or 7 years in Madrid. Will finish his career there. He is happy at the club and will retire at 40 years.” Jorge also spoke about Jose Mourinho, the former Chelsea manager who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
“He is now in Brazil, we’ll see what happens when I return. Can he go back to Italy? Currently there are talking about this option, or Spain or England. He just must be calm and not worry about anything, because he is the best coach in world”. Cristiano Ronaldo on the other hand was firstly rumored by media to be immediately moving away from Santiago Bernabeu is now much more contented at Real Madrid. The Portuguese striker is busy in maintaining his lowered-down goal scoring ratio and is almost on the his usual footings. His 55 goals in 2015 are the most by any player in that year across top European leagues. The Real Madrid leading goal scorer is already in the gym after having a week’s break which he chose to spend in Miami. Real Madrid have two games coming for them in the week and Cristiano Ronaldo has prepared himself.
