Pakistani Opener Sharjeel Khan is being blackmailed!!

As admitted by the player himself through a Twitter account video clip, Pakistan cricket team’s opener Sharjeel Khan is being blackmailed by unknown caller. According to the clip released on his personal social media accounts on Thursday, Sharjeel Khan has revealed that an unknown caller has threatened him to post certain videos of him on social media websites.

Sharjeel Khan posted a clip of him on his Facebook and Twitter account revealing that some unknown callers are demanding money from him and in case of refusal are threatening to publish some ‘fake videos’ on social media websites. The batsman also urged his supporters to not believe in any videos as they are certainly fake and a mere attempt to defame him. The incident that Sharjeel Khan is being blackmailed has been taken seriously by the Pakistan Cricket Board and media. Speaking of the matter, famous Pakistani sports journalist Yahya Hussaini told that “He seemed relaxed and calm when I phoned him [Sharjeel]. I asked him to give his point of view on Geo News, Sharjeel stated that he believes he will handle this issue on his own, if needed be, he will inform media and police too regarding the issue.”

Sharjeel Khan has been one of the most dominant batsman in the recent edition of Pakistan Super League leading his side Islamabad United to the first ever title. The furious opening batsman became the first ever batsman to score a century in Pakistan Super League when he scored a brilliant 117 off just 62 deliveries against Peshawar Zalmi. Sharjeel Khan was also the part of Pakistan’s squad for the T20 world cup 2016 held in India. Meanwhile Pakistan Cricket Board has handed over the issue to an anti-corruption team for the resolution. It has also been reported that the blackmailers are demanding up to two lakh Pakistan rupees from the batsman.
