Neymar seems right at home in Barcelona

The Brazilian has played his part in pushing through his desire. He wants to remain at Barça, where he is happy and where he wants to make history.

Neymar’s father essentially acts as his son’s agent. He has now taken a big step towards completing the amplification of the 24-year-old’s terms. Apparently he’s turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s offer. He also told their Qatari owners that there’s no intention to depart from Barcelona.

Neymar Sr had never been given any reason to raise the hopes of PSG. So was the case with Manchester United last summer. They would also have paid the forward’s release clause.

Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez too made a move. Neymar’s father has always been honest and informed Barcelona accordingly.

It’s the same posture he took between 2011 and 2013. Back then he had signed an option to move to Camp Nou. Even though Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich called have called him this time.

PSG threatened Neymar’s continuity in Catalonia with a huge offer as well.

The Qatari owners’ intentions were to make the player the best paid player in the world. It could come true in an operation which would total over 500 million euros. The amount included the 190 million euro release clause (plus the tax if Barça refused to negotiate). It was a succulent signing on fee and wages worth more than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s!

Neymar has a great bond with Messi and Suarez

Neymar has put decentsporting reasons and a desire to play for Barçelona first. The club’s desire to retain him has also been crucial. From July 1 he will become the second highest paid player at the Spanish club, only behind Messi.
