On Friday, Neymar Jr. and Michael Jordan announced a great news. They said that the soccer and basketball worlds were joining forces to construct a new line of kicks. This partnership marks the Jumpan’s debut on the football field.

“Brilliance collides,” reads the “NJR x JORDAN” collection slogan on social media. “Two iconic athletes collide for a dual sport collaboration.”
“I’m excited that Neymar and Jordan Brand are working together,” said the former NBA star during an interview. “I am a fan of his creativity, style and passion for the game of soccer. He’s a special player and I look forward to this collaboration.”
According to reports, Neymar will be donning the stylish cleats during the Summer Olympics in Rio. However, they have already made their debut at Citi Field. The FC Barcelona forward flaunted his football skills with a baseball. He did it while wearing the Air Jordan V Retro Low.
“The Jordan V is very iconic and has the fighter jet shark teeth on the front,” remarked Nike football design director Nathan VanHook.
Neymar was recently seen bonding with singer Justin Bieber at Copa América Centenario. He will be just a spectator during the celebratory tournament in order to deliver a better performance at the Olympics.
The “NJR x JORDAN” collection is available on Nike.com. If paid attention to detail, one can spot the initials of Neymar’s son David Lucca (DL) on the laces.
