Kroos Scores – and takes Real to the lead against Celta Vigo again!
With less than 10 minutes left of the La Liga match against Celta Vigo, Real Madrid climbed to the lead as Kroos scored a wonderful goal in the 81st min!
The first goal was scored by Morata in the 60th min, and Real Madrid took the lead. But, the celebration could not last long enough, because just after 7 minutes, Celta Vigo managed to even the score. Fabian Orellana was on the unmarked on the edge of the Real penalty area, when he stepped on to a pass from John Guidetti. He spotted Kiko Casilla a mit off his line and sent the ball to the right of the goalkeeper, thus scoring a goal with a fine strike from the Chilean.
After the score got squared, Real Madrid upped their game. Bale, Morata, Varane and Vazquez did their best, and made some amazing strikes and assists, but, unfortunately, these did not convert to goals. Morata came very close to replay his first delivery, but missed closely. Meanwhile, a hint of offside was found in the replay of Real’s first goal,
Looking at a replay of the Real goal, there was definitely a hint of offside about it. It was seen that Alvaro Morato was in an offside position in the build-up to the goal. But he was not in an offside position when he scored it. There was a definite question about whether or not this made him offside.
in the 8th min, Bale went close with a header, but it was saved by Sergio Alvarez, rather unconvincingly. A min later, Toni Kroos scored a fine goal from outside the penalty area. He was galloping through from midfield and Lucas Vazquez sent him a perfectly weighted ball across the face of the Celta penalty area. He curled it around the outstretched fingertips of Alvarez, netting the ball, and restoring Real Madrid’s lead at a crucial moment.
