On the other hand Sri Lankan gentlemen of the game Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene also hold the record of second most runs scored together. However their combined contribution together is rather lower than that of Sachin and Ganguly. Both Lankans scored 5992 runs together in One Day internationals.
