Neymar has reportedly told Barcelona he wants to stay at Camp Nou. The final details of his new contract are on the way.

There has been speculation about his transfer. The Brazil forward would try to take one of the more lucrative offers, that was the word. He had a talk with Paris Saint-Germain as well, before the renewal with the Catalans. But Mundo Deportivo reports Neymar communicated his desire to remain at Barca. Even as the parties were finalizing the terms of the agreement.

Neymar Santos Sr has now confirmed that other clubs are very interested in his son. But he added that any move would need to have the Blaugrana’s blessing.

Neymar could have received almost double of his wages if he had gone to PSG. But he is content playing with friends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Some of the economic minutiae needs to be clear. And Barca director Raul Sanllehi is still in Brazil. He has been there since June 16 and will be for the next few days as well. He is attempting to square the requests of Neymar’s father regarding his son’s contract.

Furthermore, Bartomeu hopes to be able to announce Neymar’s renewal on June 30. He wants to do it at a Press conference. but it’s not clear if that is possible. Though talks are at the moment smooth and a resolution acceptable to all sides is benevolent.
