Cristiano Ronaldo has discussed number of times the relation between himself and Messi suggesting all the rivalry demanded by their profession.
“I’m always motivated. I don’t need other players to motivate me,” he told BT Sport.
But, of course, Messi is an unbelievable player, and maybe he does push me harder to become better and better. So probably, yes.”

In a recent interview Cristiano Ronaldo was even teased with the cheeky question however the Portuguese did not ruled out the chance calling it indeed a difficult one.
“It’s a little more difficult, but …,” he said, with a long pause, not dismissing the possibility.
“There are things that you kind of already have an idea, that to play one day for Barcelona would be almost impossible, or to play for another English club other than Manchester, it’s very complicated,” he said. “But that’s not 100% guaranteed. As I said before, there are no certainties in football.”
