The Guardian has published the list of 2015 top 100 players elected by fans through poll. In this list full of mega stars, Real Madrid is represented by 11 players. After Barcelona, Real Madrid is the club team that brings more players to this list full of big names. Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Sergio Ramos, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Keylor Navas, Karim Benzema, Marcelo, Varane and Isco, form the spectacular Real Madrid 11 in the list. The primo-supremo of Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo has been placed 2nd in the list just behind of Lionel Messi. Despite not winning any trophy in the last season Real Madrid camp especially Cristiano Ronaldo has been phenomenal. The Real Madrid star was the top goal scorer of both Spanish and Champions League. Also some of the greatest feats in any footballer’s career, being the top goal scorer of a club, came in the year 2015 for Cristiano.
Diagnosed with racing heart was when he was 15, Cristiano Ronaldo could have forced to retire even before his football career started. The three time Ballon D’or winner was representing Sporting CP then, and the staff was made aware of the situation.
“His heart raced a lot when he wasn’t running,” Dolores Aveiro, mother of Ronaldo later revealed. “They used a sort of laser to cauterize the source of the problem. He was operated on in the morning and came out at the end of the afternoon.”
The surgery was successful and, he was discharged from hospital by the end of the afternoon.
“Before we knew exactly what he had, I was worried because there was the possibility of him giving up playing football. But the treatment went well and after some days he was back at training again.”
Real Madrid’s front-man has always been overcoming the challenges. His whole life is a true inspiration as to how to handle the odds. The latest season is another great challenge for Ronnie to prove his worth with many others well ahead of him at the moment. He has never stopped and he will never. The 2016 will see the best of Cristiano Ronaldo ruling the football world once again.
